North Carolina High School Volleyball - Murphy overwhelmed by Cherokee

August 26, 2025: Murphy, NC 28906

Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Cherokee improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Braves travel to Boyd (Boyd, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 29. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 12-6. Boyd won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Graham (Graham, TX)

Next, the Bulldogs play the Summit Charter Bears (Cashiers, NC) in a challenge, on Thursday, August 28. Murphy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Swain County (Bryson City, NC).
