In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Murphy Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats.

The Bulldogs (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC). The Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Hiwassee Dam was defeated by Swain County (Bryson City, NC), 3-2, in a league test.

The Bobcats now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shining Rock Classical Academy for a non-league test on Friday, August 15. Blue Ridge Early College will face a Falcons squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Victory Christian (Sylva, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 0-1.
