Basketball Game Preview: Beachwood Bison vs. Independence Blue Devils

The Beachwood Bison are taking a road trip to take on the Independence Blue Devils at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Beachwood comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-41, which was the final score in Beachwood's tilt against Brooklyn on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Independence, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Lincoln West 68-32 on Wednesday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-12.

Independence's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points over those games. As for Beachwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Beachwood took a serious blow against Independence in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, falling 77-46. Can the Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
