Basketball Recap: Legacy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Legacy can now relate to. They received a blow on Wednesday as they fell 64-49 to the Eagle Rock Eagles. The Tigers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eagle Rock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marysol Jernigan, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Jernigan a new career-high in blocks (two). Haylee Weatherspoon was another key player, putting up eight points and eight steals.

Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Eagle Rock, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eagle Rock, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-47 loss against Chatsworth on the 21st.
