Basketball Recap: Riverbank Skates Past Summerville with Ease

Riverbank won the last time they faced Summerville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Riverbank Bruins claimed a resounding 55-18 win over the Summerville Bears. The Bruins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Riverbank's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leilani Olanolan led the charge by going 9 for 14 en route to 22 points in addition to seven assists and six steals. Olanolan is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Taylor Macias was another key player, going 8 of 16 on her way to 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Riverbank smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

Riverbank has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Summerville, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9.
