Football Game Preview: Hatch Valley Bears vs. Robertson Cardinals + Official Tickets

The Hatch Valley Bears will challenge the Robertson Cardinals at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hatch Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Hatch Valley beat Ruidoso 26-20.

Hatch Valley had a senior duo take command as David Dumas rushed for 157 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry and Demarcus Alaniz picked up 106 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The Bears are 4-1 when Dumas posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

Hatch Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 209 rushing yards. They are 6-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, Robertson took a blow against St. Michael's on Saturday, falling 40-6. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Horsemen recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Hatch Valley's record is now 6-4. As for Robertson, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-4.

Things could have been worse for Hatch Valley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 38-20 loss to Robertson in their previous meeting back in November of 2016. Thankfully for the Bears, Arjay Ortiz (who threw for 301 yards and three TDs on only ten passes, and also rushed for 76 yards and a pair of touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
