Soccer Game Preview: Lakewood vs. Johnstown-Monroe

Lakewood is 0-8-1 against Johnstown-Monroe since August of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Lancers will host the Johnnies at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lakewood was handed a five-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They beat West Jefferson by a goal, winning 4-3. The high-scoring effort was just what Lakewood needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Johnstown-Monroe kept a clean sheet against Bloom-Carroll on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs.

Lakewood's win bumped their record up to 2-9-1. As for Johnstown-Monroe, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.
