Soccer Game Preview: Los Alamitos vs. Los Osos

The Los Alamitos Griffins will be taking part in a tournament against the Los Osos Grizzlies at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Los Alamitos' defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Los Osos' offense will have their work cut out for them.

Los Alamitos' tournament run continued when they took on Santiago on Saturday. Los Alamitos fell 3-1 to Santiago. The defeat continues a trend for the Griffins in their matchups with the Sharks: they've now lost four in a row.

Los Alamitos' goal came courtesy of Zamorah Malinoski, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Los Osos had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lancers a 3-0 shutout. The matchup marked the Grizzlies' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Having lost for the first time this season, Los Alamitos fell to 4-1-2. As for Los Osos, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Los Alamitos came out on top in a nail-biter against Los Osos in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. Will Los Alamitos repeat their success, or does Los Osos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
