Heritage is a perfect 10-0 against Gilmer since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Generals will venture away from home to take on the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Heritage will be strutting in after a victory while Gilmer will be coming in after a defeat.

Gilmer will be up against a hot Heritage team: the squad just extended their winning streak to seven. The Generals walked away with a 9-5 win over Calhoun on Monday.

Bailee Hollis spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Addie Wilson was excellent, going 4-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley Eason, who went 3-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Heritage kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Gilmer faced off against Ridgeland on Monday. The Bobcats took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Gilmer saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylee McDaniel, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Gilmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Heritage took their win against Gilmer when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
