Softball Recap: Tuttle Gets the Win

Tuttle came out on top against Norman North on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Timberwolves 5-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.

Ava Kanatzar looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Tuttle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Lingle, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was Lingle's first of the season.

Tuttle hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in six consecutive games.

Tuttle's record now sits at 28-6. As for Norman North, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-15.

Looking ahead, Tuttle will venture away from home to square off against Choctaw at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Norman North, they will welcome Bridge Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Timberwolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
