Softball Recap: Chamblee Bulldogs vs. Dunwoody Wildcats
Chamblee extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 11-13. They came up short against the Dunwoody Wildcats, falling 14-6. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly eight runs.
Madison Jones made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Sadie Godwin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
As for Dunwoody, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by eight runs or more this season.
On Dunwoody's side, Alyssa Rosenkoff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits. Rosenkoff has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Vivian Curry and Brooke Parkes did most of the damage at the plate: Curry went 4-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Parkes went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Parkes has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Rembelos, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
