The International Bowl – featuring 44 of the nation’s top senior football players (and one junior) - returns to Austin, Texas on National Signing Day and CBS Sports Network will broadcast the game and all its festivities.

The game pits the under-19 U.S. National Team – led by highly successful St. Xavier (Cincinnati) coach Steve Specht – against an International team made up of players and coaches from 20 countries. University of Western Ontario head coach Greg Marshall is the World Team’s head coach.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. Feb. 1 at pristine Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex and will not only be televised live in high definition on CBS Sports Network but will also be broadcast on the American Forces Network for U.S. service men and women deployed overseas and on U.S. Navy Ships. Well before kickoff, U.S. players will autograph jerseys, helmets and their letters of intent in a posh National Signing Day ceremony at the Marriott South hotel in Austin.

The U.S. has won the first two International Bowls, 17-0 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. in 2010 and 21-14 in Austin in February.

This year’s U.S. team includes numerous Top 100 recruits including Texas-bound defensive tackle Malcom Brown (No. 33, Brenham HS, Texas), Georgia-bound running back Todd Gurley (No. 36, Tarboro HS, N.C.), Iowa-bound running back Greg Garmon (No. 54, McDowell HS, Erie, Pa.), Ohio State-bound defensive tackle Sevon Pittman (No. 66, McKinley HS, Canton, Ohio), Stanford-bound linebacker Noor Davis (No. 72, Leesburg HS, Fla.) and Cal-bound offensive tackle Freddie Tagaloa (No. 94, Salesian HS, Richmond, Calif.).

The first junior to be selected to the Under-19 National Team is Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) quarterback Jarrett Solomon, who led the Gaels to their third-straight Nevada State championship.

Solomon threw for 2,744 yards, a remarkable 41 touchdowns and just two interceptions last seasos. His quarterback ranking was 144.  In three seasons, he's thrown for 7,264 yards, 105 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions. His most impressive statistic is Bishop Gorman's record in that span: 43-3.

The team’s other quarterback is Florida State-bound Sean Maguire (Seton Hall Prep HS, West Orange, N.J.).

Specht has won 80 and lost 20 in his career at St. Xavier and led his Alma Mater to state Division I titles in 2005 and 2007.

Under-19 National Team alumni include LSU safety and Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann Mathieu (2010), Michigan State linebacker Chris Norman (2009) and Virginia Tech running back David Wilson (2009).

World Team alumni include Arizona defensive lineman Aiulua Fanene of American Samoa (2010), Florida State defensive end Bjoern Werner of Germany (2010) and Alabama defensive tackle Jesse Williams of Australia (2010).

The International Bowl is a national team competition, not an all-star game, thus the NCAA allows seniors to play for USA Football and not have their participation count as one of two permitted all-star game appearances.
