Soccer Recap: Sequoyah Takes a Loss

Sequoyah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hillgrove Hawks. That's two games in a row now that the Chiefs have lost by just one goal.

Aidan Ellis and Avyel Leyva-Mansilla scored both of Sequoyah's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hillgrove, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Sequoyah has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Forsyth Central on the 25th. As for Hillgrove, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Carrollton on the 25th.
