Baseball Recap: Nordonia Triumphs

Nordonia proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Midview Middies 5-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2018.

Michael Wolff and Grant Kaminski did most of the damage at the plate: Wolff went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Kaminski got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Wolff has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Colby Leitner, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Nordonia's record is now 9-13. As for Midview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

Nordonia will challenge Woodridge at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Midview, they will take on Gilmour Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
