Baseball Recap: Coahulla Creek Takes a Loss

Coahulla Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to the Calhoun Yellow Jackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colts of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2020.

Coahulla Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Calhoun, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coahulla Creek will host North Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calhoun, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Gilmer at 5:30 p.m. Calhoun is facing Gilmer at the right time seeing as Gilmer is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
