Cuba's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Penasco Panthers, sneaking past 52-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since February 6th.

Kaileb Atencio and Angelo Zamora certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Atencio posted 18 points along with seven boards and six steals, while Zamora went 7-for-12 to rack up 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Cuba's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Penasco, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Cuba has already played their next matchup, a 46-39 loss against Escalante on the 20th. As for Penasco, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-28 victory against Moriarty on the 20th.
