Basketball Game Preview: Marshall Phoenix vs. KIPP SF College Prep Phoenix

Marshall will head out to take on KIPP SF College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Marshall has five straight victories, KIPP SF College Prep has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Marshall will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Immaculate Conception, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Phoenix blew past the Spartans 64-34 on Thursday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-14.

Meanwhile, KIPP SF College Prep had to suffer through a 49-13 loss at the hands of Burton.

Marshall's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for KIPP SF College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Marshall against KIPP SF College Prep in their previous matchup last Wednesday, as the squad secured a 69-22 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Marshall since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
