Soccer Recap: Marengo Takes a Loss

Marengo scored the most goals they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Genoa-Kingston Cogs by a score of 2-1. Marengo just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Marengo's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Genoa-Kingston, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marengo is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Woodstock at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Genoa-Kingston, they will head out to take on Dixon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Genoa-Kingston their first taste of in-conference action this season.
