Recap: Marion Center Stingers vs. Ligonier Valley Rams
The Marion Center Stingers won the last time they faced the Ligonier Valley Rams, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Marion Center simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ligonier Valley 61-27 at home.
Marlee Miller and Sydnee Foust certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Miller scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds, while Foust scored 5 points. Miller scored a full 59.3% of Ligonier Valley's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Marion Center's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Ligonier Valley, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Marion Center won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cambria Heights at 7:15 p.m. on December 7th. Cambria Heights will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Marion Center is ranked 28th). As for Ligonier Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Valley at 6:00 p.m. Valley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
