A Season-Best Effort from Rece Hoyt Leads Lone Star over Reedy

On Thursday, Lone Star got the W thanks in part to Rece Hoyt playing the best football he has all season. Hoyt rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played.

On the year, Hoyt has thrown 27 touchdowns while averaging 236.4 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 17.08 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 126.51 passer rating.
