Football Recap: Walter Johnson Falls Short of Northwest in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Walter Johnson can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 45-7 loss at the hands of the Northwest Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-6 back in October.

Jake Forburger threw for 89 yards on four of 21 attempts.

Northwest had a senior duo take command as Jayden Vongprachanh-Nelson threw for 266 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes and Isaiah Taylor gained 153 total yards and two touchdowns. Vongprachanh-Nelson's passing game has become a key predictor of the Jaguars' success: the team is 5-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.

Walter Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Northwest, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
