Softball Recap: Polytechnic Gets the Win

Polytechnic's tournament run continued when they took on Temple City on Monday. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rams, sneaking past 5-3.

Brynn Connolly was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Ellery Engstrom was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Polytechnic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Temple City only posted an OBP of .348.

Polytechnic's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Temple City, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Polytechnic will welcome Cooper at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Temple City, they have already played their next contest, a 13-5 loss against Glendora on the 3rd.
