Basketball Game Preview: Dublin Gaels vs. Granada Matadors

The Dublin Gaels will take on the Granada Matadors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Dublin is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Salesian College Preparatory just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 53-39 bruising from the Pride.

Meanwhile, Granada was beaten by San Ramon Valley 92-20 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 559th, while the Wolves are ranked eighth).

Dublin's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Granada, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Dublin got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in February of 2025 against Granada by a conclusive 68-44 score. Do the Gaels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Matadors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
