Recap: Mira Monte Lions vs. Kennedy Thunderbirds
This season hasn't been kind to the Mira Monte Lions, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. The match between Mira Monte and Kennedy wasn't particularly close, with Mira Monte falling 57-39. That's two games in a row now that Mira Monte has lost by exactly 18 points.
Kennedy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Imaree Curry out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 assists. Curry also posted eight+ assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Kayleen Maes, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Mira Monte has fallen quite a ways from their 19-7 record last season and are now at 0-4. As for Kennedy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Garces Memorial the next time they take the court. Mira Monte will head out to face Garces Memorial at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, while Kennedy will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on December 20th.
