Baseball Recap: Rock Island Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Rock Island's offense. They came up short against the Alleman Pioneers on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Rocks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pioneers earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Rock Island has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Alleman, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Rock Island will take on Moline at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Maroons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Alleman, they will face off against Quincy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
