Softball Recap: King's Ridge Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against North Cobb Christian

King's Ridge Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the North Cobb Christian Eagles by a score of 6-5 on Monday. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 9-7 to the Eagles when the teams met back in August of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sadie Smith made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

North Cobb Christian's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King's Ridge Christian will square off against Forsyth Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Cobb Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Paulding County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
