Basketball Recap: Monte Vista Comes Up Short

Monte Vista was the 47-44 winner over Patrick Henry when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Monte Vista Monarchs had to suffer through a 55-15 loss at the hands of the Patrick Henry Patriots. The matchup marked the Monarchs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kimora Nears continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Patrick Henry, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 boards. Nears has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Honey Smith, who posted eight points.

Monte Vista's record is now 1-6. As for Patrick Henry, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Monte Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against San Ysidro at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th.
