Baseball Recap: Walker Victorious

Walker was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Forest Park Panthers by a score of 14-11. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

David Griggs was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grant Addison, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Walker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Walker now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Forest Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Walker will host South Paulding at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Forest Park, they will venture away from home to take on Cambridge at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
