Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Turpin

Turpin hadn't done well against Beaver recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Cardinals narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Dusters 4-3. The game was the first time the Cardinals have beaten the Dusters on their field since August 29, 2022.

The win (which was Turpin's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Beaver, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Coming up, Turpin will welcome Hooker at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beaver, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tyrone at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
