Monroe Area hadn't done well against Jefferson recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Purple Hurricanes never let the Dragons get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Purple Hurricanes: when they faced off against the Dragons back in September, they had to take a 7-6 loss.

Monroe Area has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, their defeat ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 23-2.

As of now, neither Monroe Area nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
