Football Recap: Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Comes Up Short

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 20-8 to the Wagner Red Raiders. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wagner, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chamberlain at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Wagner, they will host Bridgewater/Emery/Ethan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
