Basketball Recap: MAST Charter II Comes Up Short

MAST Charter II was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 44-16 loss at the hands of the Frankford Pioneers. The Voyagers were probably out for revenge after losing 47-25 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Janeliss Laboy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Frankford, putting up 16 points and seven steals. Laboy has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Zanaiyah Cross, who posted eight points in addition to eight steals and five assists.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

MAST Charter II will take on Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush in a holiday battle at 3:15 p.m. on Monday at. As for Frankford, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-18 victory against John Bartram on the 11th.
