Softball Recap: Crisp Academy Wins Going Away Against Westwood

Crisp Academy got themselves on the board against Westwood on Tuesday, but Westwood never followed suit. They put the hurt on Westwood with a sharp 9-0 win. Crisp Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Crisp Academy got a great performance from Brynleigh Gravitt as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Ansley Simpson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Odom, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Crisp Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Westwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Crisp Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Westwood: the pair will be back at it again later today.
