Soccer Recap: Jonesboro Takes a Loss

Jonesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the New Manchester Jaguar. Jonesboro were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as New Manchester apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

Jonesboro's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for New Manchester, they moved to 4-9 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Jonesboro and New Manchester will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Cardinals see the pitch they'll take on Mt. Zion at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for New Manchester, their break will end when they face Central at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
