Football Recap: Jesuit Comes Up Short

Jesuit's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 21-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Archbishop Rummel Raiders. The Blue Jays' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Archbishop Rummel, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jesuit is set to take on their familiar foe Warren Easton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Archbishop Rummel will face off against rival Edna Karr at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Raiders 14.7, the Cougars 8.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
