The Flowers Jaguars will face off against the Oxon Hill Clippers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Oxon Hill will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Flowers extended their winning streak to six on Friday. The Jaguars blew past Bladensburg, posting a 57-0 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Jaguars' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Mustangs are ranked 207th).

Kodi Gardner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 36 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, while Oxon Hill put up plenty of points on Saturday, the same can't be said for Parkdale. The Clippers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 56-0. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Clippers had established a 49-point advantage.
A big part of Oxon Hill's victory came down to the chemistry between Amir Elder and his top target Kyre Grays. Elder threw for 168 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes while Grays gained 122 total yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Elder a new career-high in passer rating (157.9).
Oxon Hill's run defense was locked in: Parkdale could only muster 1.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Denzel Holley for the heroic effort on defense: he. Oxon Hill didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 15.5.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Oxon Hill, adding 20 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Grays, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from Tyler Diggs.
Flowers' win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Oxon Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Flowers didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Oxon Hill when the teams last played back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 24-19 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Clippers' Aaron Ayodeji, who rushed for 48 yards and one score, and also threw for 149 yards and one touchdown. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Jaguars to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
