Tattnall Square Academy had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots.

Cody Colter looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.

At the plate, Tristan Turner was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Braxton Collins was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Tattnall Square Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tattnall Square Academy will face off against First Presbyterian Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.6, the Vikings 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they will challenge Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th.
