Baseball Game Preview: Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs vs. Jackson County Panthers

For the second straight game, Winder-Barrow will face off against Jackson County. Winder-Barrow will square off against Jackson County at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. Winder-Barrow is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Winder-Barrow needed a bit of extra time to put away Jackson County. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 9-8. Nine seems to be a good number for the Bulldoggs as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

For Jackson County's part, they got a good showing from Charlie Crowe, who struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave Crowe a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Carson Stokes stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored two runs and stole a base. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchell Bryce, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Jackson County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Winder-Barrow, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
