Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Freire Charter walked away with it. They strolled past the Central Lancers with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 66-49. The score was all tied up 23-23 at the break, but the Dragon were the better team in the second half.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Senya Gaines-Ditto, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points. The dominant performance gave Gaines-Ditto a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Sofia Meer, who went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points and five rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Freire Charter and bumps their season record up to 15-9. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points over those games. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

As of now, neither Freire Charter nor Central have any future games scheduled.
