Allatoona had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They came out on top against the Dalton Catamounts by a score of 6-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Cruz Paul was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

In other pitching news, Allatoona got a great performance from Davis Bargeron as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Furthermore, Bargeron didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

Paul wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Jenkins, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Allatoona's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Dalton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Allatoona will welcome Cass at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dalton, they will host Southeast Whitfield County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Dalton is facing Southeast Whitfield County at the right time seeing as Southeast Whitfield County is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
