Flag Football Recap: Desert Ridge Takes a Loss

Desert Ridge was the 36-0 winner over Higley when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jaguars fell 14-10 to the Knights on Monday.

Higley found their leader in sophomore Sophia Moreira, who picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Desert Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Higley, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Desert Ridge will take on rival Queen Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Higley is set to face off against their familiar foe Gilbert at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
