It was a good run, but Morgan County unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Eastside Eagles by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in August.

Morgan County's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Eastside, the win keeps them at an undefeated 24-0.

Coming up, Morgan County will challenge Lamar County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.1, the Trojans 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Eastside, they will venture away from home to square off against Buford at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
