Football Recap: Becker Takes a Loss

Becker was the 30-14 winner over Rocori when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell 28-21 to the Spartans on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Spartans are ranked 22nd).

Becker now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Rocori, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Becker will face off against Detroit Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Lakers at the right time seeing as the Lakers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Rocori, they will square off against Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
