Baseball Game Preview: Armuchee Indians vs. Coosa Eagles

The Armuchee Indians will head out on the road to take on the Coosa Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Armuchee has five straight wins, Coosa has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Armuchee beat Chattooga 7-4.

Meanwhile, Coosa came up short against Christian Heritage on Friday, falling 10-1.

Coosa saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Cannon, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Armuchee pushed their record up to 12-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Coosa, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-19.

Everything went Armuchee's way against Coosa in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Armuchee made off with a 16-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
