Texas A&M commit and National Player of the Year led Byron Nelson to Class 6A Division 2 title, national championship.
High school volleyball's postseason honors continue today with the unveiling of the MaxPreps Junior All-America Team headlined by MaxPreps National Junior of the Year

Also named the MaxPreps National Player of the Year, Peterson was the guiding force behind Byron Nelson finishing No. 1 in the MaxPreps Top 25 for the second straight season. The Bobcats went 42-0 and won their second straight state title, finishing the season on a 78-match win streak.
"She is the total and complete package," Byron Nelson head coach Brianne Groth said. "As good as she is now, I
can't imagine what she's going to be like as a junior or senior in
college. She is by far the best setter I will ever coach. I was a good setter, but I will never come close to her."
Peterson is already committed to Texas A&M.

Gentry Barker, Lake Travis (Austin, Texas)5-11 | Outside hitter | San Diego State
Tallied
572 kills in her first season with the Cavaliers and reached
1,500 career kills. She had a high of 24 in an October match and
382 digs for the year.
6-2 | Outside hitter | Northwestern
Dropped
a team-high 365 kills as the Sailors went 38-7 and finished No. 14 in
the nation. She had double-digit kills in 15 matches and had 382 serve
receptions, 194 digs and 71 aces.
5-10 | Setter | Nebraska
She dished up 1,220 assists (12.0 per set) as the Titans went 36-1 with a
second straight Class B title. She had a
bounce-back season after missing her sophomore season with an injury.
In the final, she had 48 assists.
5-11 | Opposite hitter | Uncommitted
The go-to hitter for Boesiger in the Titans' Class B repeat. Bornschlegl dropped 499 kills while hitting 39 percent. She hammered 30 kills in the state final and added 438 serve receptions and 319 digs on the season.
5-9 | Libero | Louisville
The Hawks went 30-6 with a Class 6A title with Bower anchoring the defense. She had 422 digs and 333 serve receptions.
6-2 | Outside hitter | Loyola Marymount
With 625 kills this season, she bumped her career total to 1,836 as the Raiders went 32-9-1 and reached the MAIS Division 1 final. She added 513 serve receptions, 343 digs, 84 aces and 54 blocks.
6-2 | Outside hitter | Kansas State
Explosive and crafty, the future Wildcat led the Patriots with 482 kills while hitting 35 percent. She had 271 serve receptions, 270 digs and 45 aces as Carrollwood went went 20-7.
5-8 | Setter | Uncommitted
On a team that featured four hitters with more than 280 kills,
Fasavlau distributed the ball adeptly all season. She ended with 1,001
assists (8.3 per set) and added 239 digs with a team-high 66 aces.
5-11 | Setter | Coastal Carolina
Helped the Mighty Macs to a 34-5 record as the team was ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25 for most of the season. She dished up 589 assists (9.3 per set) as McAuley had seven hitters with more than 70 kills.
6-5 | Outside hitter | Texas A&M
Helped the Tigers to their second straight Class 7A title while
dropping 384 kills. She posted double-digit kills
in 21 matches and as Winter Park went 31-1.
Eva Jeffries, Sierra Canyon6-3 | Opposite hitter | Uncommitted
Had 310 kills and 261 digs as the Trailblazers notched 16 wins over teams ranked in the MaxPreps Top 25 during the season. She added 102 serve receptions, 62 blocks and 40 aces.
Lyric Judson, Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, Neb.)
6-0 | Middle blocker | Uncommitted
Led the Class A champions with 319 kills (3.0 per set) as the Titans finished 31-9. She also led South with 90 blocks and added 42 aces.
6-2 | Outside hitter | Ohio State
The Marlins raced to the Division 1 state title behind the future Buckeye. She paced Mercy with 529 kills while hitting 31 percent. She added 477 serve receptions, 300 digs, 60 aces and 40 blocks as Mercy finished 43-5-2.
5-4 | Setter | Uncommitted
The Scots won their first state title, grabbing the Conference 5A Division 1 crown behind Lee's 1,428 assists. She had an array of six hitters with more than 100 kills. In the championship, she dished up 38 assists and 10 digs.
6-2 | Outside hitter | Pitt
Became the school's all-time kills leader as the Jaguars won the Class
6A state. Still with a season to go, she sits at 1,309 career kills
after posting 483 kills as Blue Valley West went 35-4 and reached state
for the 10th time in 11 seasons.
6-2 | Outside hitter | Michigan
A key piece of a repeat championship team, she tallied 230 kills, 36 blocks and 26 aces. In the championship, she had seven kills as Marist finished 36-5 and No. 7 in the country.
6-1 | Outside hitter | Minnesota
Helped
the Gators to back-to-back Class 6A titles with 419 kills as Xavier
College Prep went 35-2 and finished No. 4 in the final MaxPreps Top 25.
She added 433 serve receptions, 281 digs and 71 blocks this year.

Playing alongside MaxPreps All-American and Penn State commit Finley Kystkowiak, she managed to lead the Falcons in kills with 330 and blocks with 69. She added 419 serve receptions and 263 digs as Torrey Pines went 38-5 and finished No. 9 in the nation.

She
provided a lethal 1-2 punch with fellow MaxPreps All-American Layli
Ostovar for the Monarchs. Matavao had 409 serve receptions, 394 kills,
177 digs, 37 aces and 32 blocks as Mater Dei won the Open Division title
and finished No. 2 in the rankings.

Led
the loaded Trailblazers with 464 kills (3.6 per set). She had
461 serve receptions, 265 digs, 29 blocks and 28 aces as Sierra Canyon
finished 41-4 and No. 3 in the country.

The Trailblazers were loaded with hitters and McIntosh was second on the team with 363 kills. She added a team-high 702 serve receptions with 332 digs, 48 blocks and 35 kills.
Reese Meier, Owyhee (Meridian, Idaho)6-1 | Outside hitter | Ole Miss
She dropped 535 kills (6.0 per set) while hitting 29 percent for the Storm. She added 236 serve receptions, 230 digs, 74 blocks and 53 aces. She tallied 17 kills in two matches against national powers Mater Dei and Marymount.
Katelyn Oerlemans, Marymount6-1 | Middle blocker | Stanford (beach)
A wall at the net, she was second on the team with 107 blocks. She had 248 kills as Marymount went 38-7 and won the Durango Fall Classic.
NATIONAL JUNIOR OF THE YEAR
5-10 | Setter | Texas A&M
The catalyst of the two-time Texas champion, she had 1,459 assists along
with 27 digs and 161 kills. With one year remaining, she already has
3,660 assists.
6-2 | Outside hitter | Baylor
She hammered a team-best 385 kills while hitting 32 percent as the 31-1 Warriors won the Class 3A title. She added 288 serve receptions, 193 digs and 39 aces as her squad finished 31-1.
6-4 | Outside hitter | Texas
Finished the season with more than 400 kills, 150 digs and 35 blocks as the Eagles reached the Southern California Division 1 regional final. In an October match with JSerra Catholic, she dropped 45 kills.
5-10 | Outside hitter | Uncommitted
The Panthers reached the Coference 6A Division 1 state semifinal as she hammered 701 kills while hitting 33 percent. She added 495 serve receptions, 413 digs, 72 aces and 42 blocks as O'Connor finished 41-6.
6-0 | Outside hitter | Creighton
The future Blue Jay led the Wolves in kills with 692 as they finished runner-up in the Class B state tournament. She added 485 serve receptions, 283 digs and 44 blocks as Elkhorn North went 30-7.
6-3 | Outside hitter | Uncommitted
The
daughter of former NFL player Will Witherspoon led the Lancers to a
Class 5 state title with 636 kills while hitting 40 percent. She had 398
serve receptions, 274 digs 98 blocks and 94 aces as Lafayette went
40-1.
5-8 | Setter | Kansas State
Had 840 assists for the No. 24
team in the final MaxPreps Top 25. She helped the Yellowjackets to a
47-2 mark and fourth straight state title. The Kansas State commit and
has piled up 2,868 assists with her senior year remaining.
