Baseball Game Preview: McNair Mustangs vs. Putnam County War Eagles

The McNair Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Putnam County War Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. McNair's hitters has struggled lately (they haven't scored a run in six consecutive games), something the team is no doubt ready to change.

McNair fell victim to Jasper County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 25-0 to the Hurricanes.

Meanwhile, Putnam County fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Jasper County on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 7-6. The War Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tanner Lukens was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Putnam County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for McNair, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
