Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Calvary Christian Academy came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Centre County Christian Academy by a score of 34-32 on Friday. The Conquerors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Centre County Christian Academy earlier this season, when they won 55-29.

This is the second loss in a row for Calvary Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Centre County Christian Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on DuBois Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for Centre County Christian Academy, they will square off against Blair County Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blair County Christian's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so Centre County Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
