The Sanderson Spartans will face off against the Middle Creek Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with five losses in a row, Sanderson turned things around against Felton Grove on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Galaxy. The Spartans not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 27th (when they won 3-0).
Sanderson was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22, 25-15.

Sanderson relied on the efforts of Mireya Chavez, who had 34 digs, and Emma Webster, who had 12 digs. That's the most digs Webster has posted since back in August. Sydney Worrell also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Holly Springs came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Middle Creek, but Cameron Gerber wouldn't allow it. The Mustangs came out on top against the Golden Hawks by a score of 3-1 on Thursday thanks in part to Gerber, who had 23 digs and six aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.
The win didn't come easy: Holly Springs scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 24-26, 25-22, 25-18.
Middle Creek found their leader in sophomore Gerber, who had 23 digs and six aces.
Middle Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive contests.
Sanderson's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-12. As for Middle Creek, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Sanderson suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Middle Creek when the teams last played on September 11th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Gerber, who had 13 digs and seven aces.
