Softball Recap: Claremore Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Claremore proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Durant Lions. For the Zebras, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

Claremore's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Durant, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Claremore will face off against Booker T. Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Durant, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against McAlester at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
