Softball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for West Liberty

West Liberty barely beat Davenport North the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Wildcats on Saturday. Considering the Comets have won 12 matchups by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

West Liberty's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Davenport North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-17.

West Liberty has already played their next contest, an 11-3 defeat against Valley on the 28th. Davenport North has also already played their next game (against Central Lee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
